Darling Range Sports College first opened in 1975 as Forrestfield Senior High School and later transitioned to a sports high school in 2008.
The College is a member of the Darling Range Learning Community, a collaboration of eight schools including all local partner primary schools. This partnership enhances the opportunities available to students and provides a smooth transition as they move from primary school to high school.
The College has a dedicated Sports Academy offering programs in AFL, netball, cricket, baseball/softball, soccer and swimming. Students also have the opportunity to be involved in our Academic Excellent program, Arts program, Job Readiness program and our VET program.
We offer opportunities for students to travel within Australia and internationally. Students have travelled to Cambodia for the World Challenge tour, France/Belgium for the ANZAC Remembrance tour and New Zealand, Melbourne and the Gold Coast, to name a few, for sporting tours.
We have begun planning for the future with the commencement of our new facilities to accommodate the arrival of Year 7’s in 2015.
We look forward to welcoming you to Darling Range Sports College, where our students Dare To Dream!
