Health Education

Health Education is a compulsory one-hour lesson each week in Years 8, 9 and 10. Health Education teachers use a variety of techniques including group research and discussion, role playing and guest speakers to present the information in a meaningful and relevant manner. Students are provided with accurate information from a variety of sources to make health lifestyle decisions in relation to Drug and Alcohol Education, Sexuality Education and the highly regarded "Keys for Life" Driver Education Program (Year 10). Students are also involved in a class Health Promotion project.

Physical Education - "Fit for Life"

This two hour per week course is designed to provide students in Years 8, 9 and 10 with the skills to assist them in maintaining a lifelong involvment in physical activity. Students will participate in many of the following activities: Aquatics, Weights & Fitness, Circuit, Fit Ball training and a range of individual and team sports.
